Elisabetta Dotto is the owner of the Hotel Ambra Cortina and she is also one of the super chic ladies of the Queen of the Dolomites, as Cortina is well known.
She named a entire floor of her hotel "Fashion floor" and her hotel is the exclusive destination for fashion addicted in the area, especially if you are interested in some exclusive shopping.
Elisabetta shares with her guests some tips on where to wear and where to buy some unique pieces to wear to be special with the "Cortina mood".

What makes fashion in Cortina different than anywhere else? why jet setters and celebrities come here? Let's find out.
- What makes the Cortina mood? That jenesaisquoi turning heads on and off the ski slopes?
We call it here the "ampezzano mood" (ampezzano comes from Cortina d'Ampezzo, the full goegraphical name of Cortina) and it is a combination of two main elements: the need to be warm when temperature drops and the wish to feel elegant and as you say make the heads turn.
We mix warm and precious tissues and materials such as fur, cashmere with light and delicate tissues such as silk and lace.
- Some"evergreen" fashion pieces?
A parka is the evergreen fashion solution at Cortina and it's just great to stay warm and look cool.
When at Cortina, you need to wear a hat: pick up a smooth and soft cashmere berret the colour of the snow with a fur pom pom at the top or a rugged Stetson or go for some rabbit fur earmuffs but wear a hat!
And remember the cooler and trendier, the better

- 2018 fashion must for this season?
I would say:
- glitter UGG boots
- glitter Moon Boots
- the beret topped with pom pom as you can see from the pics at out party "Colbacco e tacco 12"
- ecolesther leggings

- The trendy outfit for your day when at Cortina?
Bags, shoes and boots.
The right accessory can really make the look go from "meeh" to "wow"!
- What about the night out??
Glitter, stilletos and miniskirts.

- Your favourite fashion piece for winter 2018?
A "Romantic caban", an overcoat in leather and tulle made in Italy by a great crafter I found it here at Cortina, one of my secret adresses.
The black velvet Ferragamo shoes with golden heel, a real heartbreaker piece!
- The best kept fashion secret here at Cortina?
Luca Guerresco and his boutique BREDO, in Corso Italia: Luca is incredibly good at picking up and mixing different pieces he finds around the world. A great talent!
