Coolest restaurants in Cortina and in the Dolomites

We love try new restaurants and discover the new openings or the classics of the local cuisine here in Cortina.
So far, our preferences go to:

Bistrot dell'Hotel de la Poste

Cozy venue at the ground foor of the Hotel de la Poste.
Nothing elaborated, easy and savoury food.
Do not miss: the souflé they serve as a dessert.
It comes with two different sauces, raspberry syrup and chocolate syrup.

Da Aurelio at Passo Giau

Make sure you are arriving by sunset so as to enjoy the spectacle of the sun hiding behind the peaks
The restaurant has a local flavour and the cuisine is just incredible.
Seasonal products, innovative combinations of flavours.
We love it.

Ristorante Al Camin

Lovely place a few miles from the centre of Cortina.
Meat is really excellent.
Service as well.

Ristorate Lodge Alverà

Again, make sure you are having dinner by the large windows at the second or third floor when it's dark.
The view over the twon and the valley is breathtaking.
Chocolateaholic? This is your place: ask for their special dessert. It's a ball of cocoa.
When they pour hot chocolate on it, the ball melts and there are no words to explain the effects.
Just go and try it.

LP26

Want to try the real Casunziei ampezzani? That's the place.
The "casunziei" are ravioli stuffed with beet roots.

Could not find anything interesting? Ok, no problem.
Just ask our reception and we will be delighted to suggest you something special.
(P.S= gluten- free restaurants? We have a list of restaurants offering gluten-free menus in Cortina)

Full relax in your suite

You were dreaming of spending your days walking in woods or trekking on the highest peaks of the Dolomites and..it's rainig.
Always look for the bright side of it: you can curl up in your bed and spend the morning reading.
Start like this: order a late breakfast in room (yes, we do serve breakfast till 11 am) and pick up one of the books or the magazines of our selection.
When you are over with your yummy breakfast, it's bathtub time: fill the jacuzzi tub with warm water and add some of the amber scented salts you'll find in your suite. You can even sip some "spumante" and nibble at some fruit: a chilled bottle of spumante and a basket of fresh fruit await for you in your suite.
After your bath, do not forget to rehydratate your skin applying the amber scented body lotion and relax.
Now, it'sup to you: reach the hotel lounge for a hot cocoa or a hot tea while chatting with Elisabetta, the hotel owner or walk up to Sovilla, the antique library of Cortina and get lost in the maze of books and charming stories of Cortina and the world.
